Westrup (Denmark)
Westrup equipment for high-quality and efficient sorting of any grain crops.
Westrup has earned a well-deserved reputation as a leading manufacturer of reliable, high-quality equipment. It supplies complete seed processing and cleaning equipment, from manually operated machines to fully automated lines—from small-capacity laboratory machines to industrial cleaning machines with a capacity of 500 t/h.

Pre-cleaning and fine cleaning machines
PRE-CLEANING
Pre-cleaning is the first mechanical process after harvesting, designed to separate substandard materials from the main crop. Nominal performance is specified for grain with a moisture content of no more than 18% and an impurity content of no more than 15%.
Removing substandard materials allows for the production of a crop suitable for storage and reduces the risk of damage during storage.
FINE CLEANING
Fine cleaning and/or grading is used to obtain the required quality of the main crop by removing substandard materials that are larger, smaller (or lighter) than the main crop.
The nominal performance is indicated for grain or seeds with a moisture content of no more than 14% and an impurity content of no more than 3-4%.
Air-screen cleaners separate the main crop by width (thickness) and remove light impurities using a precisely calculated air flow that lifts light substandard materials.
ADVANTAGES OF MODULAR CLEANERS:
Comes with air flow control servo as standard.
The servomotor can be adjusted from the control room (optional).
Possibility of using quick-change screens.
Possibility of using a system of interlocked screens, which allows the removal of screen segments without ball frames.
Some screen modules for flow distribution systems give the operator more screening options, increasing productivity.
Cylindrical triremes and gravity separators
CYLINDRICAL TRIER
Before length separation, the grain must be finely cleaned to achieve optimal quality. Length separation is used to remove damaged/short grains from the main grain using one indented cylinder and long grains using a second indented cylinder.
GRAVITY SEPARATOR
Before weight separation, the crop must undergo fine cleaning to achieve optimal quality. Weight separation is used to separate the product by weight, removing light and heavy impurities from the main crop. Westrup gravity separators remove the lightest impurities by the shortest route possible to avoid interfering with the subsequent separation process. The usable heavy product then undergoes a lengthy separation process on the deck.
Sorting machines
Sorting is always performed after fine cleaning for more precise separation by thickness and width. Further separation of each fraction is typically accomplished using a gravity separator. ADVANTAGES
Compact size compared to traditional sorting machines.
To achieve high productivity, only one sorting machine is required, unlike traditional indented sorting.
Sorting screens with "seed turning plates" for high productivity.
Simple and quick transition from one crop to another, including through the use of a quick-change sieve system.
Possibility of more accurate sorting by size due to a smaller step of increasing the size of sieves in the metric system compared to sieves in inches.
Ease of control over the sorting process, since all processes are carried out in one device.
Cost effective installation and maintenance compared to traditional sorting machines.
Possibility of using a vibratory feeder or a variable speed feed roller.
